Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN

The design for this one-of-a-kind museum project is based around the preservation, education and advocation of Williamson County, TN. The state-of-the-art exhibit is an interactive space dedicated to telling its comprehensive history surrounded by beautiful architecture that allows you to traverse into distinct thematic rooms. The exhibit transports guests to different environments, multisensory experiences and immersive technologies. What better way to learn about diverse history and people of the area than by seeing and hearing them tell their own stories. The immersive “living portraits” of famous residents that dawn the walls throughout are a feat of innovation and immersive experiences that you must see to believe. From character casting to script writing, costuming and building the actual display, the living portraits that are scattered throughout the exhibit are truly a thing to experience.
The 600 square foot museum is located in the bank lobby and was constructed within the floor space of two loan offices and a customer waiting area. This very intimate exhibit includes a custom built introduction wall with graphics and a digital monitor, as well as five full size vertical artifact cases with sliding glass doors for accessibility. These cases include adjustable shelving, lighting and additional artifact storage. There is a credenza style artifact display case, a large wall hung display of civil war rifles, a smaller wall hung display case for swords and finally a large display case showcasing an impressive arrowhead collection.
