Mansfield State Historic Site preserves 178 acres of the Civil War battlefield where the Battle of Mansfield occurred on April 8, 1864 in Mansfield, Louisiana. The newly renovated museum is a highlight of the facility which also includes a research library, gift shop, interpretive film, picnic area, and battlefield trail. The museum’s collection includes era artifacts such as artillery, uniforms, accessories and books. Method-1 Interiors designed the recent renovation which includes full design, fabrication and installation including artifact mounting. The Mansfield State Historic Site is listed on the National Registration of Historic Places
